Snapchat just added a new memories feature and we will be experimenting with it and how we can use it for our photography business. We think it is an amazing idea that they created though. We plan on creating certain albums based on our weddings so that we can show the different things that we do during a wedding. We can also show off the different Geofilters that we create for a wedding day.
If you are not on Snapchat, it is time for you to step into the game and create your account. You still will be ahead of the game, but everyone will be all over it soon.
What we started doing for our wedding photography is creating geofilters for our wedding clients. Here is a quick example of what our geofilter looks like for a wedding that we will have this weekend. The clients have not seen it yet, since it will be a surprise for them. :)

When creating the filter, we selected the area of their ceremony and reception and the hours are from when the bride and groom arrive to their exit. We know that the groom will arrive on site at around 3 pm and they will have a sparkler send off at 10, so we set the hours from 3-11pm.
For the filter, we added our logo in the corner and we wrote the bride and groom's name on the bottom with the date of their wedding. We also added our logo at the bottom of the filter so that it could get some exposure any time the filter was used. We will check back in on Monday to show off the analytics.
Will it work out? Just follow us and find out. We will be snapping a little bit during the wedding also.
