Here are some of the responses that we got when we asked people what story they saw in these images:
I see someone who has overcome. Someone who has taken embrace who she is.
To me...In the first one, she's unsure, insecure, hiding & protecting herself. In the second she is confident, open, ready and isn't afraid. A lot of this is body language but also the use of more red in the second image.
I see the darks and lights of a personality expressed through mimicking highlights and shadows we see
Pain , but strength
She battles with depression or bipolar, but it doesn't stop her. (Read a comment on light and dark, and my day job is working with people with those kinds of disabilities)
Love these i was thinking shes an artistic soul who loves to paint maybe but cant cause she is afraid what other people will think of her work
It's about herself trying to figure out how to 'fit in' to the norms of society. It ended up with a lot of façades thus losing her own identity
