Elfin Forest Maternity/Family Session | Trudelle Family

The Trudelle family was amazing. Little Titus always had a smile on his face, while Kyle and Randi were amazing. They are so much fun and we loved working with them. Here is a little glimpse into their shoot that we had with them at the Elfin Forest in San Marcos.

Elfin Forest Family Portraits | Sneak Peek w. Trudelle Family

This family is the best! We had so much fun with them during our portrait session out at the Elfin Forest in San Marcos. The area is so beautiful out there and when you have a wonderful good looking family like the Trudelle's, it is almost impossible to take a poor photo.

Check out a quick sneak peek from the session below. We look forward to sharing more from the session soon.

When you see a flower bush like this, you have to take the moment to pick some flowers!

Fashion Photography | Flour Everywhere!

The best thing about fashion or editorial type of photography... There are no rules and you can do whatever you want to create an image. Use all your imagination and creativity to create something that will make people go WOW. That is the best part of it! We have had the idea of throwing flour or powder around for a while and wanted to finally get it in a shoot. It was a DISASTER of a mess, but in the end we had some amazing images that we could work with.

Check out some of the great things that we were able to make.

We placed flour in the hair of our model and asked her to shake it off. It created a huge dust cloud.

This next image had the inspiration of ballet from it and it almost looks like she has wings. We asked her to let go off the powder and throw her hands in the air to see what we would create.

We threw flour from behind to create this image.

To start out the day, we wanted to use the umbrella in our image. We wanted to toss the flour at the top of the umbrella and let it come down off the side. This was the toughest image to create. After several shots we were able to create this shot.

Lastly, we put this shot together.

This photoshoot was a mess, but at the end of the day we created some images that will stand out. It was fun to create the mess and it was fun to create some outstanding images.

We can't wait to do our next fashion photography style shoot and create some fantastic images. We are always open for suggestions on what you may think. Suggestions?

Beautiful Baby Portraits

Dean and Jasmine have brought a beautiful baby into the world and we were given the opportunity to take portraits for the little one. We did our session at their house in order to make things comfortable for them and really make it comfortable for the little one. As long as the little one was comfortable and in a surrounding that was good, then we would be able to take some really awesome photos with the family and with the new little cub that they brought in.

Check out some of the great photos from their session:

We used one of the baskets that they had and stuffed it down with some pillows and a comfortable blanket and put baby right in and it is like he rested on a cloud. We kept a heater on to keep him warm and comfortable.

Of course we had to take photos with mom and dad. They had a rocking chair and a white wall, so we made it work out beautifully. We had some of our favorite photos from that little rocking chair against a white wall. Check out some of the photos from there:  2016-01-04_0014 2016-01-04_0015 2016-01-04_0016 2016-01-04_0017   2016-01-04_0019

We had an awesome time with Dean and Jasmine.

From the photobooth

Just some quick photos from the booth. We created the backdrop with pallets for our secret santa party and let everyone take some photos with our camera. We put up the lights and let people go with it. Here are some of the photos. San Diego Photographer_0574.jpgSan Diego Photographer_0641.jpg

Next time, we want to get a trigger for the camera and place it on a tripod so that people can just hit the button while they are in front of the camera. We also will set up our wifi card so that they can see the output on an iPad. It should make the booth more fun for everyone.
